We have received quiet a number of calls in recent months regarding a problem with Walker TVs. The TV mute symbol appears on screen and the volume mutes. The only way to get the volume back is to power the TV off and on again. We have the following solution that appears to be a permanent fix.

 

Disabling mute error on Walker TV

Saorview Information channels (usually ch29 and 30) need to be deleted from the channel list. Please carry out the following procedure.

 

1.Press OK on remote control.

2.Channel list will appear on screen.

3.Scroll down to Saorview Information channel.

4.Press right arrow and highlight EDIT.

5.Scroll down to DELETE.

6.Press OK

7.Repeat procedure and delete the second Saorview Information channel.
